CloudsThe clouds fashioned mountains,:thumb169719851: :thumb170150691: :thumb173438488: :thumb172065513: :thumb170510846: :thumb145899307: :thumb164647840:
Pasty peaks vanishing
Into the endless sky,
A gradient of light
Blue to dark indigo.
Through fluffy crags, the sun
Scattered white dots of light,
Like the shiny spots on
Silver wrapping paper.
When those clouds opened up,
It was like opening
A package containing
A small fragment of sky.
Someday, I will climb those
Cloud-mountains and take home
A sky-blue souvenir.
Time Noircity lights - sparks that fly off asphalt
of midsummer heat and humidity
after a third shower for the day,
I huddle in the open doorway
of a deli, partially hidden under
the striped awning, a neon sign
flickers in the display window,
the smell of warm pastrami on rye
entices passers-by to come in-
that's New York City for you;
the bustle of pedestrians racing
always against the signals, until
a cloudburst makes people gather,
temporary acquaintances in
every doorway while it comes down,
most will filter into the shop for
coffee and a blintz, or egg salad-
the street eerily bare at this moment
until a taxi pulls up and
Painting If I could choose any talent, I'd be a painter.
You'd be my first project,
And i'd start with your lips they'd curl over your teeth.
Your nose would curve right at the tip.
Hair to your shoulders,
a golden brown
With a highlight or two,
a little bit of red
Next I'd paint your eyes,
Blue or green it doesn't matter.
Just the right size to stare into.
Little pieces of your soul looking at me.
I do not request you to be thin,
Just a personality that will keep me interested.
However you look,
I'm sure you're truly beautiful.
Final touches added,
My perfect person is only a painting.
Perfection doesn't come easy,
How could you know
your roars robbed me
of all things esteemed
that the blows reigned
all over my innocence
would devour hope
placing me in this cage
I call preference
but never choice
for I knew nothing of give
but could recite volumes
on what was taken
How could you know
you were breaking
what could never
be properly repaired
How could you know?
I told you...
Sunshine SmilesI cup your chin and plant a kiss that germinates and blooms into something twice as beautiful as any ordinary rose: your smile.:thumb172551029:
You ask me what I want to be when I grow up. I tell you I want to be yours. You tell me you have aspirations and goals and a list of things to do. I tell you I've got no plans tonight.
I need some peace and quiet to forget the nonchalance of your fingertips crawling across my shoulders. The way you make me shiver, you could be an arctic wind. The way you keep me warm, you could be the desert sun.
"How did you get so wonderful?" "I met you."
Such simple words make themselves comfortable in my memory. T
